- Always disconnect grounded cable before replacing terminal on either cable.
- Remove old terminal by cutting or sawing as close to terminal as possible
- Strip cable insulation approximately 3/4" Back from cable end.
- Loosen Back Plate on terminal by unscrewing two back plate bolts. smaller cables, the back plate may be turned over to assure a tigher fit.
- Insert bare end of cable into treaded opening below back plate and tighten both bolts firmly. Caution: sufficient pressure must be applied against bare wire. No insulation can be under back plate. bare wire should extend 1/8" beyond terminal
- clean battery post
- Always replace ground cable connection last. Place terminal over post and tighten firmly
